Doctors Don’t Know Anything

Shadow, I agree the onus is on us. And I actually kinda like that, cuz I get to focus on what is bugging me in particular, y’know. It’s like I could have learned stuff a lot faster in school, if they’d just let me go at my own speed. I hate classrooms because there’s always someone who doesn’t get it and we have to stop and get them caught up to speed, but when I’m interested, I could soak up the stuff at light speed.
Great question. It’s in it’s toddlerhood because neurology is in it’s toddlerhood. 90% of what science knows about the brain has been discovered in the past 15 years. And that’s due to much better tools, imaging systems and techniques for ‘staining’ and studying brain tissue. The growth of knowledge has been exponential in the past decade. ADHD has two extra challenges:
There’s a huge amount of misinformation and mythology that is laced with fear.
People think they know about ADHD so they’re not curious to find out the facts.
for a condition that has been around so long why is it still in infancy??? good video though the onus is onus to get informed too
