Labels Part 2
Creative and intuitive genius is kind of a given, Catcooperno. Don’t you think?
I’m kind of leaning towards Master Mind. Or Laser Brain. When I’m hyper-focused I feel like I could do be Obi Wan Kenobe telling people, “These are not the droids you want.”
How about creative and intuitive genius?
BOREDOM INTOLERANT is good. It’ll tick people off less than THINKING ABOUT WAY MORE STUFF THAN YOU.
I really like Zakureth’s comment. We are “Boredom Intolerant”. I can hear the conversation now.
“Yes, I’m Boredom Intolerant.”
“What? Did you say lactose intolerant?”
“No. Boredom. Boredom Intolerant. Hey would you look at that? I’m bored now. Wanna play frisbee?”
Thank you Rick! The kids whose parents dont want to label them are just sticking their heads up their own behind, because the child is going to encounter all those things the parents fear with a “label” without knowing what they are dealing with, perhaps util they stumble upon a diagnosis later in life (if they are fortunate). Ive discovered that parents who dont want a label just cant cope with reality, and for them, (and a lot of folks) denial is more comfortable than reality.
I don’t remember where I heard it first but I always liked “Boredom Intolerant”
Potential labels for ADD:
bureaucratophobic?
allergic to tedium?
Squirrelitis?
