So many people ask me about the symptoms of ADHD. What the signs of ADHD? What is ADHD? How does it show up?

Usually these folks admit they wondered if they might qualify, but then they cite reasons that they couldn’t have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. To their surprise, their ‘Non-ADHD’ trait, ability, or explanation is a common sign they might have this mindset.

“My whole family is like this…” Ah, let me tell you about the strong genetic component. It’s highly heritable. “What? Oh…”

    Rick,
Thank you for your dedication and inspiration. I learned that I have ADHD 2 years ago at the age of 70. It was a discovery that answered questions about conditions I suffered with from childhood. It started when I came across your video description of symptoms, did more research and one by one the lightbulbs turned on. Facing retirement at the time, I sought counseling from a Psychologist who specializes in adult ADHD. He provided some strategies that have proven helpful, and I continue to read and view your videos regularly. I am learning something new each day. Again, thanks for all you are doing for people like me. Rick
