I try to be open about it. It depends on the situation. I think that there are people who really do not understand ADD at all. One person told me that “They dont believe in it.” This is frustrating. I want my experiences to help others. I have learned so much about it and I am working to overcome it. On the other hand I have to protect myself. There are people who have told me point blank not to disclose at work. Yes it is illegal to discriminate but…..it can change peoples opinion in a way that is not helpful.
