For me, the memory of the faintly vinegarey smell of freshly-Dittoed pages, still damp with Ditto fluid, as the teacher hands them out, is one of my favourites.

That, and gasoline as it’s being pumped into a car. (Not that I’d ever deliberately sniff the stuff…)
