“It really isn’t important to Google that interesting thing that just came up in conversation”
Oh yes it is. If I don’t Google it it will just sit there in my brain taking space until I do.
I don’t think I have ever actually done it during a conversation. I actually rarely use my smart phone. It’s too slow and I don’t have the patience. Also, I forget to plug it in to recharge. But I have missed whole movies and TV shows because something interesting came up in them and I Googled it on the iPad. And Wikipedia articles always have all those links to other articles…..
And yesterday I just had to look up owls. It was very important. We saw one in the backyard the day before and I had to identify it. Which took about 5 minutes, plus an hour of looking at random pictures and reading about owls in general.
Those are some great tips though, really. And it is important to remember that 5 minutes later it will be ok. It’s just that first 5 minutes after turning it off that is so painful it feels like you’re going to die if you don’t turn it back on. 🙂
