Inconsistent performance has been the bane of my existence in both professional and academic settings. Still trying to get my shit together.
When reading your post, what came to mind is that it could be helpful to hire someone and/or have a business partner. Someone to help keep you organized & help with sales, but someone to do the core business work too. If you had a backup person of sorts, you might have more peace of mind in securing clients because you’d know you have backfill for those off-times.
