The problem is, Medicine today has to be a partnership between doctors & patients.
The current crop of Medical students is being trained to understand and accept this new approach, but there are many established doctors who were taught that THEY know everything, and must never be questioned. So, if a patient ever did question something, or present their own research on it, the doctor would reject it completely and make it very clear that such interference was not welcome.
But there is such a shortage of doctors today, that it’s impossible for them to spend enough time with each patient. So it’s very easy for them to miss something, or to make a mistake—especially if they’re convinced that they are the Ultimate Authority.
And many doctors can’t or won’t keep up with the latest developments in the field of Medicine. So, it’s up to patients to learn as much as they can, from REPUTABLE sources, and to discuss it with their doctor. If that doctor refuses to discuss it with you, then you’ll have to find one who will. It’s YOUR health, and YOU have the right to choose the best person to help maintain it.
