I haven’t had time to read all the posts, will at a later time, but had to put my 2 cents in. Extreme fatigue runs iny family. My mother had it and my son has it. My son Matt had to be changed from afternoon to morning kindergarten because he was still taking a 2 to 3 hour nap in the afternoon. When he started 1st grade I know he still struggled. He is now 40 and has never been diagnosed ADD but may very well have it.
I’m 66 and wasn’t diagnosed until about 15 years ago. I was an elementary teacher and when I told the other teachers that I had been diagnosed ADD, they said that they could have told me that years ago. I also have struggled with clinical depression, besides fatigue. I have been on ritalin and prozac for about 14 years and it seems to help quite a bit. Ritalin metabolizes slowly for me so I usually can’t take it after 2:30 or so. Consequently, in the evening I begin to drag. Exercise and meditation are the other things that work for me.
Good luck and keep on trucking.
