Yeah, anybody who is 55 or older, I’d call “older,” simply because ADHD had not be “discovered” when we were kids. Still, I was shy as a kid so I’m not sure I’d have been identified then or not. I was really messy–my bedroom, my desk at school, my school papers, etc. And I was very fearful and uncoordinated, too. Once a PE teacher took me out of the line so I could watch the other kids doing the dance step correctly. I was so humiliated that I’ve never really gotten over it. Whenever I remember it, I feel humiliated all over again. I tried learning to knit as a child, but only finally learned when I was 19. Took FOREVER to learn to ride a bike and learning to drive was the hardest thing I think I EVER had to learn. Seems like I’ve had to struggle with things my whole life. The only thing that came easy to me was academics and art. Without those two things, I’d have had NOTHING.
