I have the same issue, I wish it worked for more of the day. That said, I’ve tried things like Adderall XR and actually found that it worked TOO long — I couldn’t sleep at night! And when I didn’t sleep well, it multiplied my ADD symptoms the next day, which meant a higher dose, which meant less sleep… yikes.
What I’ve tried to do is save certain activities for those last four-ish hours of the day that I can do without the help of the medication. Random things, sometimes a few games to unwind, play with my daughter, etc. Having that wind-down time has not only helped me sleep better — I’m sleeping better than I have for most of my life!
