The dopamine defiiciency seems to be a key marker of an ADHD person. I know that much. I was on many anti-depresants and they helped but I definetly had the anhedonia effect. In fact I felt like I could watch my home burn to the ground and just shrug my shoulders and say, “hey – shit happens!”? Didn’t really feel well. When I started Adderal I felt better within days. I’m not just talking about the obvious UP that this can give you, I understand that. I am talking about feeling calmer, more there and focused, and finding pleasure in some things that I’d not felt in decades. I also found out I had very low hormone levels and started treatment for that. Between those two items and counseling I am doing awesome. Awesome. Oh — I haven’t been on SSRIs or Welbutrin for years because of adverse effects including siezure, and loss of libido… which was explained by the hormone problem… well wishes to ya!
