One of the most important aspects of therapy is to find someone you feel comfortable with. I’ve hear a lot of good things about CBT and have seen some excellent clinicians using it very well but I’ve met a lot of people who didn’t have as positive of an outcome with it as Bill has. If you try it and it’s not working don’t get discouraged because it may be more of a problem with the clinician than the technique its self. I think it would definitely be worth a try.
