woof woof…….. ;-)

No, I think you are on the right scent trail.

I’m addicted to forums and email. (I have at least 6 email accounts and over 1 gig of messages I can’t bring myself to delete)

I hate games, so that’s not an issue.

I’ll spend HOURS in forums. I’ll spend hours simply looking things up on the web……….. if I recently watched a TV show staring someone of interest, I’ll go spend 2 or 3 hours googling them and learning about them.

Have you taken the “virtual test” as shown at the top of these forum pages? It’s quite interesting. It’s not a final diagnosis, but wow….. things like that can sure help you learn about yourself, and why you do what you do.

And keep in mind – ADD is more like pain or being wet than being pregnant. For the latter, you are or you are not. For the former, it can be a mild annoyance, or keep you awake at night, or for the wet – you can be a littel damp under the arms, or be soaking wet stepping out of the pool.

You can have ADD “mild” with several symptoms but be able to control or work around many of them, or more like me, on the extreme end, having pretty much all symptoms, maxing out every ADD test I take, and being unable to control the symptoms – and so far, drugs haven’t done much to help – maybe just a little bit.

In any case, if it is indeed ADD, and PROPERLY diagnosed (not by a family doctor with a 5 minute test) you can move forward with various treatment options, aids, counseling, and above all else – learn about you and what makes you tick. For me, that was among the most valuable effects of the formal diagnosis – NOW I KNOW and can move forward!
