Hi Kim,

I just came to this site and posted my first time here, then saw your post. I too had been on Concerta, and after first being on a similar dosage, had increased my does up to 60mg due to the effects decreasing. When even that dosage lost its effect, I decided to stop taking it for a while. I did not notice one week or two helping much, so I eventually went to a month without taking it. Then when going back on it, the positive effects were back. but only for 3 to 4 wks. Not sure if all this is a good process though, and I’ve been off meds for over a year now… As much for finaicial reasons as just plain frustration with the meds loosing effect and all. For this reason, I’m wondering if Concerta is more typlical of loosing its strength over time, and maybe there’s other meds where this is less prevalent. Hopefully the experts here will respond to your question (and mine) soon.
