It’s a wacky realization isn’t it? I know when I figured it out, everything began to make sense.
If you can afford an assessment, go get one. You probably don’t need it though. Talk to your GP and see what can be done. Then talk about cognitive behavioural therapies and meds with him/her to see how you can use and manage your ADHD.
Honestly, it’s not a bad thing. For me, figuring it out meant so much. Like Hans, I was misdiagnosed. Now, I can think, get things done etc. I’m a better partner, better mom, and more creative than ever.
