Depression is a killer for me. Anxiety and ADHD and I run off in chaos, often,

Depression is soo hard todo anything. I get these insanely vague medical reports and the specialists

do not or will not explain so I go to the internet and hope google has valid information and then what.

I tried to sort out the latest confusion : angiogram reportedly shows an aneurism in 2007, which is reported

as dilated aortic root, 4.5 cm changed to 4.5 MM … cardiologist signed off said nothing … so is it ok or no?

2009 ECG and BP fine, so I assume the dilated aortic root is not an issue unless it enlarges or ruptures ..

Useless family doctor doesnt know, can not find reprots in his own files dumped doctor as a waste

this is the jerk who sat on psych evals cause i forgot to ask about them .. adhd helps again.

I found a real md in 2011 diagnosed as having had ADHD and anxiety and depression since childhood.

Start meds they fail .. actually, after 7 months they make me worse. B.C. ‘s Mental Health shrinks stop

treating since their mandate only covers drugs and I can’t take the only one they are able to suggest.

2012 get stress test to see if amphetamines work.. test shows dilated aortic root , confirmed by the same specialist

but no comment re meds .. he signs off again which means i am back with family md and no further info.

desire to disembowl specialist .. so going through long slow process to get second opinion … a real opinion that

says what I have either is or is not a risk … i do not see why doctors are so often so freaking useless and why they

smuggly hide behind the current bullship the patient should be proactive in healing.

Thats where the anger and depression come through … so fukking tired of chasing doctors to get answers for decades.

It feels like some sort of abusurd game where the patient has to self diagnose .. maybe reality TV show ??

Glad I am over 60. this is beyond tiresome.

@Tea, I don’t know where in BC you are (i’m in N Van), but here’s a link that might help you: http://www.northshoreadhd.com/aboutus.html

And I know of a monthly ADHD support group meeting 1x a month in East Van. Let me know and I can post that link too?

BTW I’m 65, diagnosed at 57 or so, so i’m similar in some respects.

hi Jim thankyou. I am on Vancouver Island, north of Nanaimo, seems there is nothing on the island.

Will try the link you left thanks .. it seems the support secton is not active,

I will try the phone number again Monday, seems to be off on weekends,

Pleasee send more if you have.

Been reading G Mate, not sure if he still works the east side, good books though.

Cat is ill also .. struvites, but special diet may help … is a bitch to have both to deal with ..

    thanks

@ tea: Mate is off on another tangent looking for anti addiction drugs in the Amazon or whatever, and has stated that ADHD is a non-issue, (my words). http://www.cbc.ca/news/health/story/2011/11/08/addiction-alternative-mate.html

Try this coach, he may be able to help from Vancouver, Skype maybe ? http://www.addcoach4u.com/

Lastly, same coach volunteers and has for years to head up a monthly support group in Vancouver, but from Nanaimo that’s a stretch. http://www.addcoach4u.com/documents/vanadultaddsupgroup.pdf

Lastly Dr. Ocana at the north van ADHD office is a good, no-nonsense guy that if you can get to him, may be a good avenue to get back on track.. certainly hope so.

    good luck Jim

thankyou Jim .. will see if i can set up skype and ask the vancouver guys.

as near as i can tell, have exhausted Van Island .. there is an old. old site but no sigh of humans

wondering if the oft spammed “on-line- companions” would coach as well ? hot phone consult/insult ..

we could become rich .. rich .. ah well at least better than wallowing .

    cheers

@Tea: if you email this guy he will provide his list of ADHD resources in the Vancouver area; not sure what he has/doesn’t have for the Island, sorry, but email him and ask, no charge.

    Good luck, Jim
