@Elle99, this is something to discuss with your pharmacist and your doctor.

Are you eating enough protein?  With stimulant meds, you really need to eat some protein every 3 or 4 hours.  If you don’t, you may get the jitters.

It sounds to me like your headaches & dizziness might be due to elevated blood pressure.  Adderall is a stimulant, and stimulants can elevate blood pressure, especially when the dosage is increased.  It can take a couple of weeks for your body to adjust to the higher dosage.  When was your dosage increased?

Does your local drugstore have one of those free blood pressure testing machines?  If so, you could give it a try before you take the Adderall, and then a couple of hours after you’ve taken it.  If it shows your blood pressure is high after taking the Adderall, then you’ll want to discuss this with your doctor.

If the lower dose was working well for you, then perhaps the higher dose is too much.  But don’t stop or change the dosage until you’ve talked to your doctor.  Though, if the headaches and dizziness are also accompanied by chest pains, get medical help immediately.

    Do you keep a med-journal?

We have trouble remembering what we had for lunch yesterday, so trying to remember how we felt each day, during the weeks between doctor’s appointments, is an impossible task!  That’s why we need that little med-journal.

Each day, just make a little note of the med & dose, what time you took it, and the effects (good & bad) that you noticed (and when).  Also note if there were any other factors involved (e.g., stress at work, bad weather, praise from your family, etc.).

Take it with you when you see your doctor.  That way, the two of you can accurately track how well the med & dose are working for you between visits.
