AnonymousInactiveNovember 18, 2012 at 6:32 pmPost count: 14413At this point the amount of time spent satisfying my heightened sexual desire while on my prescribed adderall rx basically nullifies all benefits from taking the prescription. Has anyone else experienced this? Online dating sites and pornography are swallowing me alive.
Is there something else that I could take in addition to adderall in order to eliminate this very serious problem that is preventing me from being a more productive person?
My goodness, any and all advice would be most sincerely appreciated. Thank you.
REPORT ABUSENovember 19, 2012 at 5:53 am #117372When I first started taking Adderall, it was very quickly obvious that I could focus on whatever I wanted to, and that without some direction this might not be good. I’ve read that a lot of people make sure that they launch into their “to do” list straight away after taking their medication for that reason.
I think this is why many people would benefit from either therapy and guidance from an ADHD therapist, or to focus on a better understanding of the disorder, and how they might use medication effectively. It’s crazy that so many doctors will make the diagnosis, prescribe stimulant medication and say “see ya”.
When you first start using stimulants for ADHD, you have a chance to make changes. If the medication is working, you can tackle those task that have been so hard to do. Make the list, and act on it before you get distracted.

As my wife could tell you I’m quicker than 2 minute noodles, meds or no meds (not that the pot even gets on the stove much anymore lol) …. ๐ฏ ….shhhhh…don’t tell anybody…..meh, at my age even if I had a bag of ‘e’ and a sack of coke I reckon that I’d just sit around talking about it lol….now, back in the halcyon days….. ๐
REPORT ABUSENovember 23, 2012 at 11:46 pm #117375Me, I’v been taking it for nearly a year. Over the last few months, my sex drive has turned to my teen level. I’v been able to block sex and romantic notations out, save once a week porn morning. Not lately, i’m going to get my doctor to help. It could be regular exercising. This just getting ridiculous. ๐
I’m not with anyone now. That is not like to ever happen. Can’t relate to most people, so dating is a real problem. I doubt find anyone. Dating sites, random meetings, and so many other ways are a waste of time. Doomed to…. End rant, don’t want to talk about it.
Most people think they are ‘unique’, just disillusional lemmings. I’m the real ‘Unique’, think creative artist. I’m hoping to make a local ADHD support to find more people I can relate too. I’ll let everyone know if find any info from the doctor.

Yea, I can follow conversations better. I was already adventurous. I still get drained from communication with ‘normal’ people.
Meeting someone is mostly luck, the right

My adderall must not be working. I’m totally having the opposite effect. Well, at least my sex drive hasn’t increased because of adderall. Is this a brand vs. generic thing???
May 1, 2013 at 7:03 pm #120240ADHD often has co-morbidities, and the meds you take for them may have sexual side effects.
If you’re taking an antidepressant, it can really suppress your libido. Even the smallest possible dose of Effexor will do this.
REPORT ABUSEMay 3, 2013 at 1:50 pm #120255Your lucky one of your side effects is a heightened libido. A lot better then a lowered one.
