I made an appointment with my family doctor. I asked if he could diagnose adult ADD, & he said yes. Gave me a test just like the ones I’ve done online, except it had some questions about other health issues (probably to verify I don’t have any of the side-effects before taking medication). I told him I already had self-diagnosed & tried 36mg Concerta which worked pretty well for me. He said to me, “You’re not supposed to do that, but it’s how most people find out.” We discussed trying a higher dose, and I walked out with a prescription for 54mg Concerta (30 pills).
