First post. I’ve been ADHD since I was a kid, and undiagnosed until I was in my 30s. Lately I’ve discovered that kayaking can really help to center me and get me refocused. It is sort of like walking meditation. While I have to be aware of my surroundings and safety, I can also take time to focus for short times on the wild life, paddling technique, or just the smells and sounds.
I don’t mean to sound all new-agey about this, but it is really helpful to paddle once or twice a week.
