Changes have been made this week, which give children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) and their families a greater say in the support they receive.
It’s being hailed as “the biggest changes in Special Education in 30 years”, and it turns a hodgepodge of different systems into one unified “Education, Health, and Care” plan, which gives parents and students a greater say in what their needs are, and how they’re met.
