I can’t stand jazz music. It drives me crazy. It’s just too damn… RANDOM!

(my local public radio station plays Jazz in the evening. When the jazz comes on, even if I’m in a distant room and can barely hear it, I must go in and turn off the radio)

Do others feel the same way?

    If so, why is this?

YES, but I do like swing jazz. I bought an expensive CD of John Coltrane thinking I’d love it but I couldn’t even listen to it once. I think it’s because the more modern jazz turns up the inner noise too much for me. It’s like giving me a crazy pill. 😯

I cannot listen to jazz. Yet, I love playing jazz on the clarinet. In fact, I was forced to play jazz in college, because we did not have a band. When I transferred schools; I went back to classical music. I even took a jazz class, but had trouble listening to it. My professor gave us sheet music and read the music playing it on the clarinet.
