Reporting back. I’ve been trying to make a dent in the renovation of my office, so the stocking of the desk took longer than I thought. I think the binning helped, but I needed to make some executive overrides, based on the fact that I used electrical tape, velcro ties and mini screwdrivers more than I think I would normally.

    So, first (primary) drawer:

    • stapler
    • letter opener
    • scotch tape dispenser
    • calculator
    • iPhone charger/sync cable
    • checkbook
    • post it notes
    • notepad
    • pen (1 dagnabit)
    • pencil
    • manicure kit (I chew my nails if I don’t trim them–too much info, I know)
    • remote for office tv (probably a bad idea, I know)
    • stamps.

    Anyone else follow through?

I’ve gone to dumping anything paper that will be used for tax purposes and putting them in a flip top box. I figure if I need to look at anything it’s prefiled by date as the most recent is on top.
