My doctor is concerned about my depression and has prescribed Remeron for me. I just started taking it last night and today I cannot shake the grogginess – it’s like I’m suffering from the flu and I just want to lie down and sleep it off – and that’s 12 hours after my first pill! I’m seriously debating whether I want to continue on this stuff as the side-effects seem to be worse than the cure!

Has anybody else had these experiences?

Remeron is especially known for its sedative and anxiolytic properties. Contact your doctor about your concern and what to expect on continuation of the medication.

The thing was I felt like a total zombie on the drug and it would be at least 2 (probably 3) weeks before we would find out if it was having it’s desired effects. I will discuss it with my doctor, but I stopped using it after my first dose. 60 hours after taking it I’m still a bit lethargic, but at least I’m feeling a bit like my old self again – warts and all.

definitely talk to your doctor because otherwise you will wait until next appointment without progress with depression. Antidepressants do take > 4 weeks, so call the doc to get started with something else! a month of depression feels like a year!
