If you don’t feel like reading my rants all over the place on this forum, I just wanted to clue you in on this experience of mine with Effexor XR. It’s such a great painkiller that my experiences with MRSA cellulitis and sinusitis only barely hurt.
My warning is this: Effexor XR is so good a painkiller that it might just mask serious conditions. Especially if you’re on it for depression or anxiety and aren’t expecting analgesia.
I have seen TV commercials pushing Cymbalta for chronic pain. After my Effexor experience, if I were desperate for relief from chronic pain, I’d go with an SNRI.
