Looking for others who have developed a style of communication that provokes arguements/debates. Often referred to a know it all or some one who always has to be right. I am really struggling with my natural responses to my spouse being a type of rebuttal and don’t know where to start with turning things around to the positive side. I’ve noticed a trend with close friends and relatives telling me … Why do you ask for my advice if you are just going to argue with it. Any one with similar experiences or advice on how to start stopping this thought process would be awesome. I promise to do my best to not rebuttal your advice! Lol

Also I know impulsivity and not verbal diarrhea is a big part of it too. I just don’t know where to start. Focusing during conversation is so hard! I can’t enjoy the conversation when I have to fight to focus the whole time to make sure I am not rubuttaling or missing what the over person is really trying to say.
