AnonymousInactiveDecember 23, 2010 at 1:00 pmPost count: 14413I think I’ve found a reasonable solution for getting organized and not having to remember every little task that works for me.
Part 1: PDA. I’ve always loved these things but they ended up in the drawer after a few months or weeks. The iTouch changed that for me so much that I got an iPhone last year and have never looked back. An Android or Black Berry works well too.
Part 2: ToDo by Appigo, it runs on all those platforms and it’s 99 cents on the app store.
Part 3: Toodledo.com This is the central brain for everything. The subscription is just over $1/month and worth the extra features over the free account IMHO. The online interface isn’t as easy as TODO’s but you won’t need it much so that’s okay.
Part 4: Google. GET AN ACCOUNT, if you don’t already have one. The Google Cal works with all the PDAs, Toodledo.com and iGoogle’s homepage supports a Toodledo gadget that works very well (it’s not perfect, but what is?) “http://www.google.com/ig”
Part 5: Use Google Chrome, you can make any page look like an application, and you can sync your favs, bookmarks etc by logging in to Google. Try this. Open “http://mail.google.com” with Google Chrome. Click the Customize and Control Google Chrome icon (looks like wrench) – Tools – Create Application Shortcuts and click Create. Done. You now have a Gmail Icon on the desktop. Do this with Toodledo.com, facebook,…. Google rocks.
You now have an integrated Todo List, centrally managed and available everywhere!
Reminders, notes, check lists, contact integration……..
Not bad for $16 a year.

I agree that if you use a mobile device iPhone and the Android are perfect. I use the Android at home, It has been a big help in keeping me on a good path. Alarm clocks, music, white noise etc.. I did try the ToDo but it didn’t seem to be enough, then i found a site called Cozi. That was a life saver and it keeps me alerted all the time. It’s free and has an application for Android and the iphone.
I cant agree more with 4 and 5, they are a must. life is good when it is at a touch of a few buttons.

AnonymousInactiveFebruary 5, 2011 at 6:41 pmPost count: 14413I love google chrome! and the google calender is my friend!
I keep a task list of everything on it and pick a few things out each day that need to be done. I also use a daytimer though since I can’t see my google calender from my phone.
REPORT ABUSEFebruary 7, 2011 at 10:56 am #98366Today I wrote a reminder about a Wednesday event and stuck it in my freezer door
Every time I open the door it falls out
I don’t really notice it as I pass by,,,but since I open the freezer a lot….and…it falls out a lot,,,,hmmmm….just noticed I put it on the counter after it fell out the last time…….(be right back)
ok…it’s back…..at least my counter was uncluttered enuf for me to notice it there,,,,I want to celebrate every little victory!!!!
Lots of good advice about the ‘techie’ thingys but I……. ummmmm……..welll my computor is like my closets and ……..oh well…..
I think the freezer door thing will work…..as long as I remember to remember why I put it there. etc
