The Ontario Ministry of Education quietly posted on its website, a memorandum to school boards that children with conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder are entitled to special education supports and services if the condition interferes with their learning.
Prior to this, Ontario students only qualified for these supports if they had ADHD and at least one other impairing condition. This meant that a lot of kids with ADHD didn’t qualify.
Of course, qualifying for support, and actually havingt support available are two different things.
