    If Wellbutrin treats depression by increasing amounts of dopamine and norepinephrine (via bocking their reuptake), wouldn’t a stimulant like Vyvanse (for treatment of ADD) achieve this as well, with greater efficacy?

    You would have to ask psychiatrist who has expertise in treating ADHD to give the most accurate answer.

    Ifr you have ADHD you may also have some depressive symptoms and it would make sense to be on both medications.

    Wellbutrin is also (clinical studies)known to effectively manage ADHD symptoms in some patients.

    Perhaps your doctor feels that being on both drugs will manage your symptoms better overall.

    Ask your doctor?.
