Update, since my first post almost a month ago the doctor has adjusted my dosage to 20 mg of dexmethylphenidate er. First week worked very well, and by the end of the second week I am completely second guessing this medicine, I was super hopeful but now it’s just going downhill. Take medicine at 7 am every morning and it still seems to work well for 2 hours or so and then I start a little downhill slide I guess you would say and then like clockwork about 11:30 kicks in again from the second release which then works good for about an hour. I can notice the downhill affect a little around 1:30 and by the time I’m driving home I have a pretty good amount of brain fog. I really wish I knew a good answer to this, is a dosage increase the right direction? Or a different prescription all together. I really thought I had it ironed out and now I understand the struggles others go through trying to get it right. The roller coasters over the last month are enough to make me pull my hair out, can’t imagine several months of experimenting.
