I consider myself to be grudge free …mentally anyway. I don’t spend time on a daily basis thinking about how people have done me wrong and I don’t feel like a victim. BUTTTTT … occaisionally when I run into a person out of the blue, I relive the feelings and just want to avoid them (I consider this a emotional grudge?). I give people almost infinite chances until I become depleted of emotional energy, and at that point, I just avoid (and I usually forget the specifics of WHY I avoid them). 💡
REPORT ABUSEMay 4, 2014 at 1:32 am #125065For me it depends on what has happened.
Say for example someone has accused me of something I haven’t said or done or has otherwise wronged me for no reason then yes I tend to hold grudges and they can last a while, I have been known to end friendships over stuff like this and cut off all communication with that person for a long time if not forever..
If I know I’ve played a part in a fight or the ending of a friendship etc I tend to be more lenient and I am less likely to hold a grudge especially if I know I was in the wrong in some way and I’m always on the look out for ways to rectify any wrongs I have committed..

I don’t hold grudges, in the classic sense. If I have been wronged, or something someone does to me triggers my “wrongness” buttons, I will obsess about it, until that wrong thing is made right.
Every time that person talks to me, I will remind them about the wrong they need to make right. This is one of my Asperger’s things, and I am getting better about it. Letting go of that stuff is difficult.
