Hi Buxom Diva – I have been happily married for 15 + years and have strong relationship. My wife and I have different sex drives. I don’t want you to think I’m a maniac or anything, I just think about it frequently and am good to go pretty much anytime. My comment was more about those who either don’t find it interesting or can’t foucs – I DO find it interesting and CAN focus at this task.

Also my question was about frequent involuntary and voluntary fantasies about an aquaintance / friend – don’t get me wrong I would never and have never acted on such impulses – there is just something that turns me on about them and it can loop in my head. Sure I appreciate the essence and the sight of a beautiful women – but that is a typically a momentary pleasure that passes – while this one lingers and I was just curious if anyone else had a similar fixation.

In a new relationship but am afraid it will not last. Have had pretty chronic impotence all my life secondary to ADHD. Have had some success but not in years without using Cialis. Can anyone relate. Afraid to meet woman because it will inevitably end in the bedroom and I will not be able to perform. I hate having ADHD!

    Dr. J

I have read that erectile dysfunction is a is very common and somewhat chronic problem with ADHD – is this something you have found to be true? Is there any treatment?

wow, after reading this it’s got me thinking that it ‘s not just my anti depressants affecting my sex life but my ADD. I’ve never had an orgasm, and my interest in sex is all talk and not much action. When i do have it, i feel like I’m just going through the motions. i make a lot of noise, like it’s the greatest I’ve ever had and yet i don’t feel that different. my brain seems to wander off and i just wanna lay there and cuddle. even then i get fidgety trying to find a comfortable way to lay with someone.

Is it all my meds that I’m :( on killing my sex drive, is there any way to fix it without going off meds? or do i just have to find the right person who’ll get me going…: :(

seeing that viagra and other ED drugs help was surprising at first but not as i got thinking about it. Viagra increases blood flow in the whole body, not just to the penis. So it would make sense that blood flow in the brain is also increased. Could the increased blood flow in the brain help with adhd symptoms too?

I am wondering why doctors don’t use ED meds to treat ADD/HD?

Smiley, most anti-depressants have sexual side effects (even those that claim they don’t!) because of the functions they are meant to inhibit. Talk it over with your doctor, because it takes about a month after stopping them before functions are restored.

And yes, not being able to focus would have an effect on your love-making as well.
