Adderall is a racemic mixture. Meaning that it has (Dex) D – Amfetamine and (Levo) L – Amfetamine. In fact 75% D and 25% L. Now this is problematic in my book since L – Amphetamine rises blood pressure and has many other non – beneficial effects.
For what I have read about your symptoms, they sound like my Ex Methylphenidate medication side effects, in a racemic mixture!
My suggestion is to chance your medication to Dexamfetamine Sulphate witch is pure D – Amphetamine, 5mg – 4-5 times a day and go from there. Its in simple short term form = you take it, you wait 5-15 min and it`s in for 2-4h rinse and repeat
Don`t even listen if they talk about the “long lasting” lisdexamfetamine aka Vyvanse and Elvanse, they are unreliable. (you been warned)
Pure D – amfetamine finally “saved” me after years of struggle and side effects. I hope it helps you as well…
REPORT ABUSEADD & ADHD are only simplifications of what’s really happening. And if someone says that You and Me have ADD it’s far from the reality. You see every behavior in an organism is an effect from a mix of chemistry in their brain. Lets simplify and say they have a back of legos (Neurotransmitters) in their brain, In this example we have 5 black, 10 white and 3 green legos, if you remove some of the legos example one black lego, the behavior wont chance enough for you to see it. This same stuff happens in two guy’s (or girls) with ADD Guy no:1 might have 6 black legos and guy no: 2 only 4. If a doctor look’s at them he/she sees only two guy’s with ADD’s since they behave the similiar, If you go and ask these guy’s how they feel or even think, OH BOY you get all kind of stuff and similiarities END LIKE A ROCK.
So I advice you to stop thinking that you have ADHD or ADD and something else since it might be that you have A brain that makes you behave like those 2 ADHD/ADD guy’s therefore making you an ADHD/ADD but in reality all 3 of you have your own unique “disorders” aka every brain is different…Only if you make a radical chance to the legos you get different disorders.
PS. i like your music and make some my self. I tend to over think that organisms people, animals, bacteria ect dont have a free will and EVERYTHING followes cause and result therefore the universe is a big domino started from the big bang and if it is a big domino it makes free will inpossible (I would need to talk with you at least 3h or more to make this make sense. depending how much you know about newtons basic law’s and einstein’s relativity) WTF this got to do with my original writing i wonder…

When I stopped my methylphenidate medication I was without medication for 2 years and after long fighting to get dexamphetamine I finaly got it half a year ago…
About adderal, adderal is pure amphetamine (levo & dex sided molecules). Since humans use dex sided sugars and Levo sided amino assets. Therefore those levo sided amphetamine molecules wont fit to the brain reseptors properly. This leads to a fact that pure dexaphetamine is 2 times more effective in adhd treatment then amphetamine (adderal).

how you feel just short after taking the first dosage, if you feel like its rising but you have a weird “Brain fog” you could try making 1/4 or 1/2 of the pill and taking them 10-20min after each other same with the later dosage, this way you could achieve more smooth transport and less peaks in the blood making the half life of your overall dosage smoother, as the chemical wont bass trough your liver in high dosages.
Personaly swiched to Dexamphetamine, after methylphenidate started making me sick and stressed.
If i take my 3 times per day dosage in one go il get a brain fog for 1 hour and then a long painfull wear off for 3 hours. to avoid this I take 1/2 of 5 mg pill first and then 1,25 mg every 10min until ive reached 10mg total taken, then i wait 1hour and take 2,50 mg 2 times 10 min each and so on… my total dosage for the day is 40mg and many times i have 10mg left at the end of the day.
Oviosly this tactic will only work if you are using short effect/fast effect transport pill’s
PS. id advice you to read about “Memantine” it has a tolerance lowering effect…

My advice is to educate your self as much as you can, as the adhd medication politics stands right now is a mess. The best thing you can do is to learn about stimulant medications and how they work in the human system. Once you know how things work you can make good arguments to your doc. Best thing is if you make him/her understand that not giving you the medication you need is unethical, that way it becomes a personal morale situation to him/her, witch improve’s your chances of getting treatment you deserve and need.

Anyway dexamphetamine/dexedrine is better in many fundamental ways sould work for 5-10 years but eventualy youl get tolerance for everything wich brings me to the memantine ideology….
