Last time I checked God wasn’t that subtle. God generally goes in for plagues, boils, sores, Bieber, even the occasional pillar of salt. ADD? Punishment from on high? If it is punishment from God, that is one deep psychological game he is playing with you. I would be thankful for the attention.
One of my favorite quotes about God came from the book Good Omens.
-God does not play dice with the universe: He plays an ineffable game of His own devising which might be compared, from the perspective of any of the other players (*i.e., everybody), to being involving in an obscure and complex version of poker in a pitch-dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a Dealer who won’t tell you the rules and who /smiles all the time.
