I consulted the College of Physicians and Surgeons (Canadian) and RateMD websites.

Maybe that would explain why people think that sugar promotes hyperactivity despite studies denying same.

I would think there are studies to prove it because my psychiatrist said that the belief of Ritalin and dexedrine not working on adults is outdated by about ten years.

As far as I know, AD/HD meds have only been tested on kids. Except for maybe, Wellbutrin, since it’s also used to help stop smoking and for depression.

I thought it was lately officially AD/HD (i.e. with a slash). No?

There is a maximum known safe dose, at least for Strattera, so I would assume for Adderall as well. I would say, you know you’ve reached max benefit if either you reach that max. dose for you weight or however it’s calculated for your drug, or the adverse effects outweigh the benefits (e.g., you’re so anxious that it’s interfering with your concentration.) Although, it seems that doctors still up the dose even when the presenting side effects concern the patient, so I would want Dr. J’s opinion on my post.

Oh, it did it again on submission of my subsequent post, and on the page’s tab had ‘Error’ in it. Not sure what that’s all about.

How come when I submitted the post, I was sent to a page that said, “Slow down you move too fast” with nothing else but a link to the forum main page? Is that standard for all submissions? It was confusing. I thought maybe my submission didn’t work, but I say that it’s posted.

I am so frustrated that, in Canada, the blood donor bookers don’t tell you this. The system is such a deterrent for potential donors that have been turned away after wasting so much time.

Is Vyvanse a dextro-amphetamine? I was told that it’s dexadrine, not sure if that’s the same thing.

Are the misunderstandings regarding important issues or nitpicky details? What was the therapist blunt about? Just be direct right back at your therapist letting them know what concerned you about them.

The psychologist that diagnosed me said that I might have to look around before I find a GP that knows adult ADHD exists (due to them not being up to speed), but I didn’t have that problem. The psychiatrist must specialize in areas and not keep up to date with all other areas. But honestly, they must live in a bubble. What a moron. Unless there was communication static? You should report them to the College of Physicians and Surgeons.

My grandma had Parkinson’s, but it was in her about her last year of life, so I guess I don’t really have to worry about it. I did not know that ADHD has to do with dopamine? I used to have shaky hands for a few years, but it seems to have subsided to a normal amount (i.e. only when nervous while using fine motor skills).
