Are you using Internet Explorer? I had a problem a few months back where you had to uninstall something from the browser itself. I can google and find it again if you are using IE.

Also, did you uninstall it from Start/Control Panel/Programs & Features? If not, try doing that and then reinstall it.

REPORT ABUSEINTP here (Introverted Intuitive Thinking Perceivers).
Logical, original, creative thinkers. Can become very excited about theories and ideas. Exceptionally capable and driven to turn theories into clear understandings. Highly value knowledge, competence and logic. Quiet and reserved, hard to get to know well. Individualistic, having no interest in leading or following others.
If I’m excited, quiet and reserved does not describe me, but I am very reserved when I’m in a new situation. It takes a lot of familiarity for me to open up and let loose. But once I let loose, hold me back! LOL

REPORT ABUSE@natebot88, you just described me in your first post. I had to laugh too when you talked about “movies” playing in your head. I am always coming up with “what if?” scenarios that my friends always thought was funny (or crazy!). I think it helps me come up with creative ideas for my comics, but sometimes they cause me anxiety and stress because I’m unnecessarily preparing for a worst-case scenario when it won’t ever come to pass. Wasted energy in my case.

REPORT ABUSEYes, I had a 4.0 GPA in high school and graduated Cum Laude from a major public university. I wasn’t diagnosed until over 15 years after I graduated.
That said, I was lucky in that my mother was very organized and helped me set up some study habits that lasted me through college. I was able to cram the older I got and was able to get by that way. At times a teacher would comment about how I could do even more if I would… you guessed it… apply myself. However, I took the easy academic path in college whereas if I had pushed myself, I could have gotten a more rigorous degree and been more successful. I would get to a certain point and hit a wall. I’ve had a few people say to me that they were surprised that I didn’t do more with myself because I was “such a good student.” I hid an alcohol problem as well.
My problems with ADHD really started getting out of hand when I started working and I struggle now as a parent.

REPORT ABUSEThanks everybody! I’ll look at putting together one closer to the end of the year. I use Cafepress.com for some of my other websites and they have a monthly calendar as one of their products.

REPORT ABUSEI have had this problem as far back as I can remember. It happens whether I’m speaking or writing, but I get so hung up that I have to just stop what I’m doing and maybe I’ll get back on the right track.
It’s embarrassing like you say when you are talking to someone and get stuck, because most people give you a look like “What’s wrong with her??” while you stumble around trying to find the right word and my brain has already moved forward. Medication REALLY helped with it.

REPORT ABUSEMe! Me! ::waves hand in the air!::
I’m ADHD combined type. I get really hyper when I’m enthusiastic or excited about something, but I can also be in the spacey/zoned out camp too.
I was diagnosed in adulthood FWIW. I survived in HS and college (barely) by making good grades by covering it up and taking the easy way, but I struggled with other issues. A lot of friends would joke that “I was SO ADD!” but little did they know they were right!
When I hit the “real world” though, my ADHD problems really came on strong. I had a hard time sitting in a cubicle and I couldn’t stand the 5 jobs I’ve held since staying home to take care of the kids. I did OK in them and never got fired, but I had the regular ADHD type issues and I’d always get dinged on them in performance reviews.
Parenting has been a real struggle as well. I have a 3 1/2 yr old and a 7 yr old, so they demand my constant attention (what little of it I have). I love my children to death, but I am really bad about comparing myself to other moms out there who seem to not struggle as much as I do and feeling guilty about what I do and don’t do with them. My house is a complete wreck and I’m embarrassed to have people over.
Medication has really helped though. I take Focalin XR and regular focalin as a boost in the afternoon and evenings. I also take a fish oil pill 2x daily and a multivitamin. I try to exercise but that is hard with two little ones.
It is nice to hear from other ADHD women and moms!

REPORT ABUSEI would definitely go get that checked out. I have never heard voices other than my “internal” voice (which talks quite a bit!) and I’ve never seen or read about hearing voices as a characteristic of ADHD/ADD.
REPORT ABUSEI use my ipod touch religiously to keep my life organized (Notes, Week Cal, Remember the Milk (with subscription), Weather, Evernote, ShopShop, Grocery Pal, and Nag to name some of the more useful apps to me). I am not a student though, so I can’t say whether you’d be better off with an ipad verus a laptop. For school, I’d personally prefer a laptop and maybe something like the Livescribe pen that’s mentioned above if money is not an issue. I suppose it matters whether you can type fast enough on an ipad without the keyboard. I have a kindle fire though, but I wouldn’t use it for note taking.

BTW, I hope y’all don’t mind my putting the URL of my website as a signature for each of my posts. If it bothers a lot of you, I can remove it!
