We really try to stick to a routine. Not only do my children do MUCH better under one, but I do as well. Holidays and long breaks are really hard for me.
REPORT ABUSEJanuary 7, 2013 at 5:45 pm in reply to: Annual review and planning the year ahead, 2012 A year in the zoo #118201This year went better for our household. In 2010, my father-in-law died. And then in 2011, my mother & grandmother died. We were just trying to get through 2012 without anything major happening.
REPORT ABUSEYou mean like lamictal?
REPORT ABUSE Getting us dressed in the morning was easy, because Mom always gave us a choice of a couple of outfits, instead of just telling us what to wear that day.
This doesn’t work with my 4 year old (who I REALLY think has ADHD). I have been giving her 2 or 3 outfits to choose from and this worked at first, but at this point she just refuses to wear any of them and only wants to wear her favorites over and over. I let her wear them when she gets home from preschool, but not TO preschool.
REPORT ABUSEHave you all sent in bug reports about this? Maybe if the developers get enough reports about this issue, they’ll bump it to a higher priority. The squeaking wheel gets the grease. 😉
REPORT ABUSEI’m going to start back to painting the cabinets next week! I swear! I’ve been working on this project for about 8 months now. 🙂
REPORT ABUSE“Hold on, give me 5 more minutes….” (totally immersed in current project.)
( 2 hours later… ) “Hold on, I’m almost done….”
REPORT ABUSEsdwa, you’re not lazy, crazy, or stupid. 🙂 I do the same thing, except it’s as if I don’t notice that I’m running out of pills until it’s too late.
REPORT ABUSEYay, I can post again!!!!!
REPORT ABUSEMissMuffins said what I was going to say. I’d just print out your first post and let her read it!
REPORT ABUSESometimes if I get really stuck with a To Do list, I’ll say that I’ll reward myself (either with CHOCOLATE! or something else) after I complete 5 of them. Carrot in front of the donkey, I suppose.
REPORT ABUSEAdderall could just not mesh with you… all medications work differently with different people – it just depends on the specific person’s makeup. Vyvanse works great for me, but Adderall doesn’t FWIW.
REPORT ABUSEYes, but I think it has more to do wtih my anxiety disorder. But my anxiety and my ADHD are like this ::intertwines fingers:: in that my ADHD makes me think about stuff more and therefore worry more. Meds help a lot though. Sometimes if I just say to myself when I start worrying about “what ifs” is that it’s just my ADHD & anxiety gone wacky, and I can shake it off better.
I think you’ll do great with the new kitten! Have you seen the kitten cam? http://new.livestream.com/FosterKittenCam/TheSpiceKittens

REPORT ABUSEI’m taking Cymbalta & Vyvanse together, and my doctors (primary care & psych.) haven’t mentioned any issues.
REPORT ABUSEI liked Skoach too, but I wish it had an app for either Android or iphone.
