I get bored sitting watching TV so I walk around the table, sit on the floor, open a book, snap my fingers, move some more, or just have the guide on and scrawl down to see my choices for hours. What drives me nuts is ads. I forget what I am watching sometimes.

I get roped into things last minute. There was a time when I was president of three clubs. Then another time when I had to do the dance, and then they wonder why I am stress. Say, no they claim that I will do nothing and just sit all the time. People wonder why I don’t want to do anything on the weekends.

Why can’t I say no to responsibility?

So my friend and I started this business. We are selling skirts for little girls. When I was younger, I would not be caught wearing them. (Okay, I will try to stay on point.) A shop in Chicago wants our skirts. We start selling on Friday and I stoked.

    Best job ever!

Great dream last night too. I only woke up twice, instead of my three or four times.

I did that test in college for a survey. UGH painful. The numbers got me good and I tried to go back and fix it. My spelling is horrible, but coming up with A names was easy. The poor lady had me stop to catch up with all the names. Didn’t pass the test though.

Kickboxing and Boxing. You are not just punching or kicking. My trainers have me running laps, jump roping, and whatever they can think of. Some people sign me up races now, zumba is the new thing I am doing. Swimming, kayaking, biking, and walking on and off.

When I have trouble sleeping. I read a good book, but then I get tried and throw the book the ground. Do not even have to get up to turn off the light, because the switch is by my bed.

Planning is my favorite things to do. Starting or ending things is another story. Scattybird mentioned my lists. Sometimes I just don’t want to do them and want the reward. Like cleaning my room. I am planning on cleaning my room in three days, because I cannot do my room in one day. Which means, it will probably get finished next week? The reward system sometimes fails, because I want the reward now.

Then again sometimes I am so excited to start something then get bored and force myself to finish. I did a race last Saturday. So excited to start, but had trouble finishing the race. Did finish the race, but man was it hard. Came in 13th place out of 20.

I told a roommate in college about my LD and ADD, because I was angry at her. Her response was, “But you’re so smart.”

There was a guy friend in the room he suspected something was up, because I would leave class to take an exam or quiz at ODS. He too had a LD, but didn’t have ADD.

My other roommate also had a LD, which is why we seemed to be always together. I had some course with her.

My other roommate, the without a LD or any disability was surprised of my course I was taking. She thought that they would be too hard for me since I had LD and ADD.

This all started with my roommate taking easy courses and not working. I wasn’t working either at the time so that was why I was angry at her for saying something like that.

I make lists. Each list has 3 things and a treat listed.

    Take today!

    List 1 finish by afternoon

    1) sort laundry

    2) turn on dishwasher

Reward:Clarinet, TV, Computer, and dance (Listen for timer or dishwasher ding)

    3) Unload dishwasher

reward: hour or reading or practicing clarinet (set timer for an hour)

    List 2 finish by 3

    1) Reload dishwasher, because the dishwasher was full when I turned it on

    2) Go to library

Reward: Start book or go on computer

    3) Feed dogs at 3. I still have to do that one.

Reward: read book, play clarinet, or computer if time allows

    List 3 finish before bed

    1) Make dinner

    2) food pantry at 7

    3) Come up with lists for tomorrow.

I do allow time overlap, but that is kind of confusing. Doing things in 3s helps. 10s is just too much. I don’t know. Sh** feed dogs!

I write lists. Each lists has 3 things on it that I am to do in the morning, afternoon, and evening, set timer to get things done. Write the list the night before that way you are not wasting time. Remember only 3 things or 5 if you can handle the load. Knitting helps me focus, and unwind.

Boxing and kickboxing are great exercise for ADDers perfect for jumpy, stressed out, or just want to kick or punch something. You start out stretching, next you’re running, punching/kicking, back to running, then jumping jacks/seal jacks, punching kicking, ladders, jumprope, punching/kicking, running through punching bags, skipping through punching bags, punching combo/kicking combo, through each bag, then push ups, lunges, crunches, then back to punching at your bag this time for another combo. All this in an hour. I love it and wonder what will I be doing next.

When cooking set timer(s), and stay in the room you are cooking. Trust me you don’t want to be in another room then wander where that beeping is coming from, and you recall where the food is, your food is up in smoke. Any work you have todo do it while you are cooking. Only when food is in the oven/stove, microwave, ect.

At night, take a bath. I like to read in the bath and sometimes hum. Take a bath in the morning too. That way you are relaxed when you start the day. Note: Set timer in the morning, because sometimes I fall asleep or daydream and two hours past. Trust me you don’t want to be late for class, or work in your case.

I’m am in the same boat as you are mollymolly. It is hard and I can’t seem to find anything. Yet, people are telling me that what I am looking for is smart and there are many jobs. They haven’t done job searches then, because it is hard.

A friend of mine is starting a tailoring business she knows I enjoy knitting and coming up with ideas and offered me a job when she starts it. She is busy ordering everything. This for me is a short time job, but I really want to do something outside with kids, adults, and nature. So hence, my naturalist certification program that I am working on.

Chocolate, tea, pop, sugar, cookie, and ice-cream. So good. I have none of those in my house at the moment, because they were eating. Yesterday, I had to go walk to get chocolate and now it is all gone. Really want chocolate now.

@ Staci_face Your post basically described me at that age. At recess, I recalled begging the teachers to let me help with their duties. Since I went to a private school; I got to give out tickets for people parking in the playground lot.

When I was done doing that I would run and hide from kids. Knowing that they would scream and say, You got Lauren germs. Sometimes, they would stop playing four square when I joined them.

There was a colony of ants and wished badly to have their relationship. Ants seemed to gather food at the same time and worked together.

My parents didn’t believe the kids were not that bad. They would buy me things that were supposed to help me make friends. It never worked and I had no intention of playing with the toys anyway. Many kids would just take it from me and give me the toy back to me after recess.

My mom did find out when she heard kids scream and yelling at me. She then decided to get the teachers involved and the social worker. The social worker helped me a little, but she also overwhelmed me a great deal.

I discovered poetry and King Author. King Arthur became kind of obsession really. Manly, because of the child pulling a sword from a stone when no one could do it. I imagine that I pulled a sword stone and everyone became my friend. At the end of my fantasy, I decided I didn’t need that many friends, because they could kill me–like King Arthur.

My sixth grade teachers were the perfect teachers in my grade school. Both were hands on and both allowed me to write extra stories about King Arthur. They tried me to get me interested in grammar, because my writing had many problems with grammar. They helped me gain more confidence in making friends and rewarded students for exploring new relationship.

I have a final tonight. Have I been studying? Nope! Totally forgot about until I read this post again. Same class, I forgot to turn in the homework, but the professor is very nice about homework. Just as long as I turn in the homework tonight is okay. She gives us a week over and we still get full points.
