billd>counseling if you can’t afford it is on a “pay as can afford” basis.

Paying for it means it isn’t free. Any costs at that level means going into my food budget. One phone call counts as a quick fix, not a long term solution.

Me, I did consoling for long time. I haven’t in 10 years. Medicare doesn’t support it and no mental help exists in the USA without cost. You can only get free help if your a severe case. Yes, -other countries- are health care is the worst on the planet. Now, include mental care as well. Guess what? Medicare and disability are being cut again and again.

“Greatest country in the world!” that would be Norway, according to world stats. ;)

Same with me, it started when I was about ten. It was a cycle of up and down. I’m unable to get any job. Mediation helps to stabilize my emotions. I do it whenever needed. Family support is critical. My story is on most-extreme.

Moodyness is expected in women. However, men are expected to be emotionally stable. So, we tend to hide it when we have gone off the deep-end because of emotional trama. I am so good at it that no one ever knows unless I let them know. Also, the people that commit suicide don’t have the coping mechs that adults have. I’v develop many different ones as i’m sure you all have.

Once I realized it was just a cycle, I just ride out the storm and move on.

I’m now into a regular schedule. I get a bit sleepy, if I wait too long before I take it. Everything is going faster. Much less zoning out during the day. More things are getting done. I’m sleeping better and going to sleep faster. Everyone is who scared of taking these, shouldn’t be. So, far so good for me. :)

I took it at 5:00pm. I got a lot done last night. I woke up 4 times during sleep. I took it at a 12:30pm today. My impulse control is less than I want, but I’m very clear headed.

    More daily blog:

Took it at 6:00pm. Thought I was going to be up all night. I slept really good. All the way through night till morning, around 7:30. I got up and went back to sleep after going to the bathroom, two times. I took it this morning at 10:00am. Getting more done in a shorter period, more impulse control. Also, i’ll do this until I reach 7 days. After that now and then.

I took it at around 3:45pm. It took about 30 mins to get to sleep, good for me. Only woke up two times during the night. My impulse control is better. No difference in my hyperactivity level. I’m less a zombie during the day. I took one this morning at 10:00am. I’m still getting use to the new level of awareness. I’m still being distracted by noise in the environment. It’s slightly less, but noticeable. Didn’t fall asleep during the mid afternoon movie with a friend. Didn’t interfere with my driving at all.

I took it at 10:30am today. Now it’s 12:30pm. I’v been feeling more alert and able to focus. I got through the pile of paperwork next to my phone. The acid test will be if I can read through the long articles i’v been sitting on. For now, reading my email is easier. The effects are much more mild then I expected.

So, lets move on to next topic. What type of activities and when? Lets start with day weekends are usually good for most. Specific times for everything is not so good for us. Some events need to at a set time, but most don’t have to be. For our need to multi-task, some events should be run at the same time. So, we can switch around as needed.

We have round table discussions for small groups. Large lectures are to us boring.

    Plays with our favorite failings.

    talent showcase

So, the classes of events, what should do first to get people excited? general event order?

Also, central coast CA, USA. I know the area well. So, I could find the California event area where we can hold it.

Clipped from my post on “ADD and religion”:

Lets define the difference between religion and spirituality. Religion is specific list of beliefs that can’t be questioned. Spirituality is free form where you explore beliefs finding the ones that suit you. Religion is typically modern western systems such as monotheism(christian) and ancient western systems(poly-theism), enlightenment from some outside source. Spirituality is typically eastern systems, Neo-Pagan/New age, and philosophy, enlightenment from within. There is a bit of grey area between them.

These things I found to be true about religion in general:

Thou shall not kill with the exception of another religion competing for followers, (un)holy wars.

Love all with the exception of another religion competing for followers.

It’s mythology, if it’s not my religion.

There is no respect of competing belief systems, arrogance about my beliefs. “We have to convert the heathens. Save their souls.”

Put simply, mine is better than yours, so nya.

    Religion practices pure hypocrisy.

Religion is pure pursuit of power, there is nothing noble about it

It’s controlling and manipulating people for the benefit of a few.

To question the authority of person in power, threatens the person in power

(brought these points up in philosophy class)

“Where religion reigns strong, horror soon follows.” Book: “Holy Horrors”

These beliefs have been used for mass murder at various points in history. The indirect and direct genocide of pagans in the dark and middle ages, known to modern pagans as the “Burning Times”. Any religion that doesn’t allow you to the question the authority of person in power is a dangerous cult. (clip)

You can say your god hates or loves this that and the other. In the implied words of your own religion, to say you know the mind of god is very presumptuous. You are who you are and there is nothing wrong with ADHD.

    Love all without exception…

That is one of our mistakes. Take the literal/grammatical meaning when people often don’t mean that. I’v encountered it many times. If you don’t know them, you’ll misinterpret the meaning of what they say. Cultural misunderstandings are another example. Her worldwide popularity says different. You have to be big fan before you’ll see the true meaning.

You misunderstand what she meant. I’v watched it on and off for over 20 years. She meant dwelling on all the “what if” of the past, instead of working on the future in the present. Focusing on changing the events of the past which you can’t do. Accepting that what happened to you can’t be changed. So, you focus on the present not the past.

I’m really trying not to not to think about all the what if’s, but it’s not easy. Learning from past this time. So, I don’t repeat it.

Adding, social mistakes are part of life. I’v done it. We all have done it many times over. ADHD just makes more you prone to it. Most people take socializing for granted. We have to struggle through it constantly. You’ll hurt people now and then. It just happens. What really matters is you didn’t do it on purpose. ADHD has scrambled your ability to communicate with people. Accept that ADHD is the problem not you. Forgive yourself.

I knew I had ADHD and at some level I didn’t accept it. Went through 9 years of job hunting while going on/off school, searching for work or going to school. After college, I did it again for another 7 years. Nothing, not even a bite. I keep beating myself up for not applying for disability and section 8 much earlier in life. What might have happened? Playing the what if this and that. Not accepting it was impossible for me to get past the interview due my disabilities and personality(ADHD+other things). How much money would I have now? Would I have been happy? I have no savings. I’m in a very noisy building. I’m miserable. However, I have the stubborn as mule hyperfocus in ADHD. Quitting job hunting entirely was the best decision I every did. It lead me out of trap that was holding me back. I’m slowing moving out of that trap. I’m free to focus on small business ideas.
